Grand Canyon Double Crossing

Earlier this month, I had the amazing opportunity to go hike/run across the Grand Canyon. I have done this 2 other times but not since before we moved to Colorado and had Lauren and Logan. My wonderful friend Linda organizes this great trip every year and she invited me to go this year. At first, I though no way. I have to train with Lauren and Logan. Also, I have this nagging injury that likes to rear it's ugly head when I don't expect it. Well, with the support of Troy, I got some training in and it was soooo worth it. We hiked from the South Rim to the North Rim on one day. The next day, we hiked back. 47 miles in all! It was hot but the scenery is awesome. Thank you Linda for this wonderful experience!

We have to go where?

Wow, they are really 2!

Lauren and Logan turned 2 yesterday. I cannot believe it. I have come to believe that parents say this every year their child (or children) cross another milestone. We celebrated with a party last Friday with some friends and family. It was a lot of fun. We had 4 sets of multiples there. To those of us with the twins, it was normal to have 8 little toddlers running around. To others, it may have seemed a little chaotic. Watching the kids play in the backyard and then sit around the table for cupcakes was a lot of fun. My parents were there for the occasion and that was great. We loved having Todd and Mary there too. Troy's sister Tammy came with her family and we loved having them celebrate with us. On the actual birthday, we took the kids to the zoo and then to dinner at Red Robin. The kids didn't even cry when the big "Red Robin" came to the table or when everyone came to sing. Enjoy the pictures.

Bye Bye Popcorn

My parents came out for a visit and my dad was nice enough to help Troy remove some popcorn ceilings. It is a messy job but it will be worth it. They took the popcorn down in the living room, dining room, and both of the kids' rooms. It is pretty cool when the big pieces come down all at once.

What is the world coming to?

So I had to post this. As I mentioned in the previous post, we went to a huge Easter Egg Hunt. There were thousands of kids. If you look at the sign in the picture is says... "The Easter Bunny left you 6 eggs". This should be a hint. Now look at the lady carrying the TRASH BAG of eggs. Now, I can see kids taking more than their 6. It is hard to explain to a little one that they can only take 6. But seriously...a trash bag! This was a free event. Can you believe that?

Easter Fun

We had fun with Easter this year. We went to the HUGE Easter Egg hunt in Highlands Ranch. It was cold and windy but we can say we went. The kids colored eggs and looked for their eggs on Easter morning. I tried to get a picture of them all dressed up but as many of you know, that is next to impossible.

Daddy's little helpers

These are daddy's little helpers. Dad was trying to build a sliding drawer for the pantry and I guess he needed some help.
